THE WAY TO GO!
RIDE UP HILL WITH EASE!!!! 
This is a hill that is near my home, it is a 7 to 8 percent grade, enough to slow down Gary Fischer.  Normally, I would have to shift to my lowest, of 21 gears, to get up this hill and then work real hard and go really slow.  Not the case with my electric motor assisting.  All I do is flip the switch and pedal like I would on level ground.  In high gear----Up the hill I go at 10-15 miles per hour.
Best of all, If the Sun is out while I am riding, I am refueling my batteries via the solar collectors.
